Bowditch hired as Assistant Coach

The Cochrane Crunch are happy to announce that they have hired a Full Time Assistant Coach and very excited about the new hire. The Crunch would like to welcome 24 yr old Tanner Bowditch to the Crunch family who is from Uxbridge Ontario.

Tanner is no stranger to the Cochrane Crunch or the NOJHL. Tanner was a player who spent 3 years in the NOJHL with Elliot Lake and Iroqouis Falls his last two years. He then went on to continue in the NCAA in Elmira but his career was cut short. Since then Tanner has been a scout for the Kingston Voyageurs of the OJHL . Tanner comes highly recommend by good hockey friends like Peter Goulet GM/HC of the Voyageurs now GM.HC of Trenton in the OJHL along with Taurean White and our past assistant coach Jamy Bernier who both had the opportunity to coach Tanner. All spoke highly of the young coach who is eager to learn and get involved. He will be a great motivator with the ability to assist and teach drills and various skills at a high level. Tanners duties will be to work with our D and video and also assist with recruiting while staying down south till season starts,

We had an overwhelmingly amount of resumes come through since we advertised 2 weeks ago 23 in total. Some very high end qualified guys from all over US and Canada but Tanner stood out. I was intrigued when a player who had a good experience in the league wants to come back and start a coaching career and learn as that is what I did when I first started. I am very excited to be able work with Tanner who also is very passionate about the game,

Welcome to the Crunch Family!
